Faster, more reliable and foam-free filling
The new PFR valve enables the filling velocities to be ideally matched to the product characteristics concerned, which means that even severely foaming products can be very effectively handled.
New: electronic control system directly inside the valve
Besides the improved flow characteristics, the PFR valve now incorporates yet another advantage: its decentralised control system ensures that the conventional electronic component cabinet is no longer required.
The advantages of the PFR valve at a glance
Increased output
The bottle is no longer raised by a lift cylinder, enabling the lift cylinder cam to be dispensed with and enlarging the filler’s treatment angle. This means, for example, that the annual output of a CSD filler* can be increased by up to 25 per cent, which adds up to an additional volume of up to 72 million bottles a year.
* With a pitch circle diameter of 4,320 millimetres when handling 0.5-litre non-returnable PET bottles
Energy and media savings
The PFR valve operates fully electronically: in comparison to electropneumatic
filling, compressed air consumption can be reduced by up
to 30 per cent. So depending on the size of the machine involved, several
thousand euros a year can be saved in terms of energy costs.
Improved filling quality
The new PFR valve enables the filling velocities to be ideally matched to the product characteristics concerned, which means that even severely foaming products can be very effectively handled. Foaming losses in the filling valve are minimised. Thanks to a product preselection feature, moreover, the optimal filling parameters can be easily reproduced. This function can be selected very simply at the touch-screen. There’s also an option for adding automatic function monitoring of the PFR valve.
