Turnkey solutions for the recycling of plastic materials
By treating plastic waste as a valuable resource, we make a daily contribution to a global circular economy for plastics with our recycling plants. And this is just the beginning: At our in-house Recycling Technology Center, we are constantly working on new solutions and technologies and conducting trials for and with our customers. The goal: To make plastics recycling even more efficient, even more sustainable and therefore even more profitable for our customers. In other words "Solutions beyond tomorrow".
Sustainability in our DNA
Krones has been working intensively with plastics for packaging beverages, cosmetics and other everyday products for over three decades. At the beginning of the 2000s, it was therefore a logical step to also take on the recycling of these plastics. With the increasing importance of plastics recycling worldwide, but also the sustainability goals of the Krones Group, Krones Recycling was finally spun off as an independent subsidiary on July 1, 2024. Under the leadership of Managing Director Dr. Michael Gotsche, the GmbH has set itself ambitious targets, among others, to return at least 30 percent of the plastic placed on the market by Krones systems back into the cycle as a recycled resource.
