Take a few minutes before the interview to make sure both your hardware and software are working properly. Choose a quiet place with a neutral background and good lighting – this will help you start the conversation feeling relaxed.
Try to focus solely on the interview. Since you do not have your counterpart physically in front of you as would be the case in an in‑person meeting, it is all the more important to listen carefully and communicate clearly.
