How Krones Recycling ensures a sustainable use of water
Water scarcity is a major challenge in the MEA region. The precious resource should therefore be used as efficiently as possible. In an interview, Elie Sandros, MEA Sales Manager for Recycling, explains how Krones Recycling is also specifically reducing water consumption in the plastics recycling sector:
“At Krones Recycling, it is important to us to find a balance between fresh water consumption, operating costs and product quality. On the one hand, we therefore rely on reusing water several times with our so-called water cascade. On the other hand, we use just enough fresh water to ensure stable processes and high quality of the recyclate at all times.”
